About Greg Shirley
Greg Shirley is an Alabama country artist, songwriter, and businessman whose music is deeply rooted in faith, family, and real-life experience.
Born in Houston, Texas, Greg spent much of his childhood traveling the southern coastline with his family, where a steady soundtrack of country, folk, and classic rock helped shape his love for music. After settling in Alabama as a teenager, he picked up a guitar and quickly found his place on stage, performing with local bands throughout the Birmingham area.
Greg later spent time pursuing music in Nashville while working as a brick mason and raising a young family. Eventually, family responsibilities brought him back to Alabama, where he built a successful commercial masonry company and raised five children with his wife.
Throughout the years, Greg continued writing songs and performing country, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, and Christian music. Today, his music reflects a lifetime of experiences, combining traditional country storytelling with the values and lessons that have guided him along the way. Whether on stage or in the studio, Greg’s goal remains simple: create honest music that connects with everyday people.
